Code of conduct

The BUSINESS INSIDE THE GAME, LLC (“BIG” and all of the affiliated BIG entities) Code of Conduct (“Code”) is one of the ways we put BIG’s values into practice. It’s built around the recognition that everything we do in connection with our work at BIG, on and off site, will be, and should be, measured against the highest possible standards of ethical business conduct.

Who must follow the Code?

We expect all of our employees and contractors to know and follow the Code. Failure to do so can result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment. Moreover, while the Code is specifically written for BIG and its employees and contractors, we expect members of our extended workforce (consultants, vendors, etc.) and others who may be temporarily assigned to perform work or provide services for BIG to follow the Code in connection with their work for us. Failure of a member of our extended workforce or other covered service provider to follow the Code can result in termination of their relationship with BIG.

Reporting/Speaking Up

BIG encourages everyone to ask questions and to raise issues without fear of retaliation and is committed to treating reports seriously and investigating them thoroughly. To report a concern please talk directly to your manager.

Equal Opportunity

BIG will not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, disability or any other protected class.

Confidentiality

BIG and all of its employees and contractors must maintain strict confidentiality of all proprietary information. Proprietary information means all non-public information that might be harmful to the company or its business partners if disclosed.

Integrity

(objectivity; professional competence; confidentiality; professional behavior) Our reputation as a company is our most valuable asset, and it is up to all of us to make sure that we continually earn that trust. All of our communications and other interactions with fellow employees, contractors, vendors, investors and the like should increase their trust in us.

Drugs and Alcohol

Our position on substance abuse is simple: abuse of any substance is incompatible with the health and safety of our employees and contractors, and we don’t permit it. Consumption of alcohol is not banned at our offices but use good judgment and never drink in a way that leads to impaired performance or inappropriate behavior, endangers the safety of others, or violates the law. Furthermore, consumption of alcohol at company sponsored events will follow the two (2) drink policy—no more than two (2) drinks are permitted. Illegal drugs in our offices or at BIG sponsored events are strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will be subject to discipline, including termination.

Safe and Healthy Workplace

We are committed to a safe, healthy, and violence-free work and event environment. Behavior that poses risk to the safety, health, security or safety at the BIG office or at a BIG sponsored event or poses risk to our extended workforce or visitors is prohibited. Please notify on site security immediately if there are any concerns.
